| blended_grade, blended_outlook | This site's average of the available agencies on one scale, shown as an S&P/Fitch-style letter. It is not an agency rating. |
| rating_last_changed | When any agency grade for the bank last changed in this site's records. |
| trading_names | Brands that use this licence and so share its £120,000 FSCS limit (for example Halifax under Bank of Scotland plc). |
The JSON has the same fields, nested by agency, plus the generation date. Ratings are collected from the banks' investor-relations pages and the agencies' published actions; where a bank publishes its ratings only in a document, the grade is read from that document by hand and dated. How the agencies' scales line up is explained on the about page.

Free to reuse, including commercially, with a link to https://bankcreditratings.co.uk/data. No warranty; check the agency or the bank before relying on a grade. The ratings themselves are the opinions of S&P Global Ratings, Moody's and Fitch Ratings, published by the agencies and the banks; this dataset records them with their sources and adds no rating of its own.

Questions
Is there a free list of UK bank credit ratings?
Yes. This page offers the current S&P, Moody's and Fitch long-term ratings of every UK bank and building society this site covers as a CSV or JSON file, free and without registration.
How often is the data updated?
The ratings are collected daily and the files are rebuilt at most an hour after a change. Each grade carries the date its source gives for it.
Can I use the data in my own work?
Yes, including commercially, with a link to bankcreditratings.co.uk/data. Check the agency or the bank before relying on a grade for a decision.
Is there an API?
The two files are stable URLs and can be fetched by a script: /data/uk-bank-credit-ratings.csv and /data/uk-bank-credit-ratings.json. There is no key or rate limit beyond normal fair use.
Where do the ratings come from?
From the banks' own investor-relations pages and the agencies' published rating actions, read by an automated collector with hand checks; the source of each grade is in the file.
